CHOOSE A SPANISH SCHOOL WITH QUALIFIED TEACHERS
Having a teacher that not only has the passion for teaching, but also has the right training to do so will be key in your success to learn Spanish. Make sure you choose a Spanish school with teachers that aren’t only native Spanish speakers, but also have courses, specializations, or degrees that you know will help them be better at what they do.
Generally speaking, Spanish schools in Peru are good at having Spanish teachers that attended University for 5 years, and several like our Spanish school in Lima, have teachers with additional degrees such as graduate specializations degrees and constantly keep training to offer the best possible experience.
CHOOSE A COUNTRY WITH A NEUTRAL DIALECT/ACCENT:
The least you want is investing time and effort learning Spanish only to discover later on that you have developed an accent that isn’t neutral or that most Spanish speakers don’t understand (especially if you are learning Spanish for professional purposes).
Generally speaking, countries like Peru, Colombia, and Mexico have some of the most neutral accents that will allow you to develop a versatile accent for any situation. Peruvian accent in particular is the mildest amongst Spanish speaking countries, which makes it the easiest Spanish to learn. This will also make it easier for you to interact with locals and practice your Spanish from day one.

Being in a small group will help you learn Spanish faster. It will allow you to receive more dedicated attention from your Spanish teacher and you’ll be able to participate much more during class, which will translate into a better, more fulfilling, and complete learning experience.
At Peruwayna for instance, we carry out our small groups classes limited to 5 people only. However, because of the many sublevels we have at our Spanish school in Lima, most of the time we carry out our groups with 3 or 4 people only. Which would be even better to learn Spanish!
